📝 About the Role
The role is primarily focused on supporting OPD partnership and Community Inclusion programming and the integration of pre-conditions for inclusion in community-based programming, including the pursuit of advocacy outcomes and engagement with Organizations of Persons with Disabilities.
This will be your team:
The Technical Team that you will be joining has two employees. You will report to the OPD Partnership Director. You will have no direct reports.
Key Responsibilities:
The position holder will work closely with, and provide strategic and technical support to, the OPDs Partnership Director in delivering the CBM Global Federation Strategy, with a particular focus on the strategic priorities of working with Organisations of Persons with Disabilities (OPDs) and ensuring the Preconditions for Inclusion at community level. The role will contribute to the development, application and continuous learning of CBM Global’s approaches to OPD engagement, in line with the OPD Partnership Framework, supporting effective implementation across the Federation.
- OPD Engagement and underrepresented groups: Specific support to country teams, member teams and partners in promoting OPD engagement across programme cycle phases and to effectively support the participation and inclusion of underrepresented groups in programs; support in OPD partnership endeavours as outlined in our OPD Partnership Framework.
- Supporting the OPD Partnership Director, including in offering technical assistance by contributing to programme design and in supporting teams in implementation through reviewing proposals from country teams as well as in the development of new proposals and support in project review processes.
- Support in organizing meetings of OPD Engagement focal points, ensuring their accessibility, taking assigned tasks in such meetings and following up on action plans including in pursuing continuous learning in community inclusive development and OPD engagement, in consultation with the OPD Partnership Director.
- Support the OPD Partnership Director in the development of the Preconditions for inclusion guidance and practice tools, staff training materials, learnings and case studies, and in administering them to support the pursuit of preconditions across our vehicles of change.
- Support the promotion of our external profile by contributing to the development of OPD engagement and community inclusion-related articles on the website, production of news updates, reports, blogs and social media content and following a coordinated communications plan across the Federation
- Researching and regularly updating on new trends and initiatives in Community inclusion trends and in OPD engagement across countries where we work.
Safeguarding responsibilities

Understands the incident management framework and their first responder role in recording, responding and reporting incidents. Understands the survivor-centred approach and how to apply it when receiving a complaint or responding to an incident. Knows local support services available in the community or region, and how to engage them.
Skills
Able to listen and accurately document reported concerns and complaints. Able to respect the confidentiality of safeguarding allegations. Able to appropriately apply the survivor-centred approach.

Treats the survivor and others involved in an incident with dignity and respect.
Be assertive in implementing the initial incident response protocols by gaining the trust and cooperation of parties involved.

- Active and engaged Community Inclusion and OPD engagement Community of Practice.
- Programme design that benefits from how CTs/MTs include underrepresented groups in the various phases of project cycle;
- Regular and updated reports on Community Inclusion trends as well as the OPD movement to aid in programming and strengthening OPD engagement
- Templates, Process Guides, etc. are accessible, organized and up to date.
- Meetings and workshops are organized and documented and action plans executed;
- Funding applications and project proposals seeking new areas of funding submitted by country and members teams are compliant with our internal documents and frameworks, are submitted in time and have provisions on underrepresented groups of persons with disabilities.
