- Background
ActionAid Somaliland (AAIS) has established a Global Platform (GP) space in Hargeisa as a dynamic youth-led space for learning, innovation, dialogue and civic engagement. The GP provides young people with opportunities to strengthen their leadership, amplify their voices and engage communities on key development issues, including democratic governance, climate justice, humanitarian action, gender equality and social accountability.
To strengthen youth-led digital engagement and storytelling, AAIS is establishing a podcast studio within the GP. The studio will serve as a creative hub where young people can produce high-quality podcasts and multimedia content for public awareness, advocacy, learning and knowledge sharing through AAIS’s digital platforms and other communication channels.
To operationalize the podcast studio, AAIS seeks to procure professional podcast equipment, including audio, video and studio lighting components. Through this Terms of Reference (TOR), AAIS invites qualified and experienced suppliers to submit technical and financial proposals for the supply, delivery and installation (where applicable) of the required equipment in accordance with the specifications outlined in Annex 1: Technical Specifications and Compliance Matrix.
- Objective
The objective of this procurement is to identify a qualified, reliable and experienced supplier capable of supplying, delivering and, where applicable, installing a complete podcast studio equipment package that meets the required technical specifications, quality standards and delivery timeline.
- Scope of Supply
The successful supplier shall supply, deliver and ensure compatibility of all equipment required to establish a functional podcast studio.
The required equipment and minimum specifications are provided in Annex 1 (Technical Specifications & Compliance Matrix).
Suppliers may propose equivalent or superior products provided they meet or exceed the minimum specifications.
- Supplier Responsibilities
The successful supplier shall:
- Supply genuine and brand-new equipment.
- Deliver all equipment to ActionAid Somaliland Office, Hargeisa.
- Ensure compatibility of all supplied components.
- Install and configure the equipment where applicable.
- Conduct basic operational orientation for designated AAIS staff if required.
- Provide equipment warranties.
- Provide user manuals and accessories.
- Provide after-sales technical support where required.
- Supplier Qualifications
Interested suppliers should demonstrate:
- Registration as a legally recognized business.
- Experience supplying professional audio, video or media equipment.
- Capacity to deliver within the required timeframe.
- Availability of warranty and after-sales support.
