- The Federal Government of Somalia has received financing from the African Development Fund toward the cost of the Build Resilience for Food and Nutrition Security (BREFONS) project and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for Construction of Livestock Market in Barawe. The Ministry of Livestock, Forestry and Range serves as the Executing Agency of the project while Save the Children International fulfils the role of the project’s Implementing Agency. For this contract, the Executing Agency will process the payments using the Direct Payment disbursement method, as defined in the Bank’s Disbursement Guidelines and procedures for Investment Project Financing.

How to apply
- Bidding will be conducted through the Open Competitive Bidding (national), OCBN procedures as specified in the Bank’s Procurement Frameworkdated October 2015 and is open to all eligible bidders as defined in the Procurement Framework.
- Interested eligible Bidders may obtain further information from the Save the Children International Somalia Country Office via email address brefons.som@savethechildren.org Copy: info@molfr.gov.so and inspect the bidding document during office hours 09:00 to 15:00 hours from Sunday to Thursday at the address given below.
- The bidding document in English may be obtained free of charge by interested eligible Bidders by accessing the following Google form: https://forms.gle/UYFcQmZqvM84FBvk7 or at the address below during office hours from 09:00 to15:00 hrs.
- Prebid meeting: Pre-bid meeting will be held on Microsoft Teams application at the following date and time: 21 June 2026 at 10:00 hrs. local time through the following link: https://teams.microsoft.com/meet/372782937147214?p=dBuq6VkipHZ6ckr8ld. - Bids must be delivered to the address below on or before 05 July 2026 at 10:00 hrs. local time. Electronic Bidding will not be permitted. Late Bids will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of the Bidders’ designated representatives and anyone who chooses to attend at the address below on 05 July 2026 at 11:00 hrs. local time.
- All Bids must be accompanied by a Bid-Securing Declaration.
- Attention is drawn to the Procurement Framework requiring the Borrower to disclose information on the successful bidder’s beneficial ownership, as part of the Contract Award Notice, using the Beneficial Ownership Disclosure Form as included in the bidding document.
